Dr. Raven

Dr. Meisha Raven , D.O., is a board certified ophthalmologist and is a fellowship-trained cataract, cornea, and anterior segment surgeon.

She majored in Biomedical Science for her undergraduate training at Grand Velley State University in Allendale, Michigan where she graduated cum laude. She completed her medical training at A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona and graduated first in her class. After medical school, Dr. Raven left the desert and accepted a pre-residency fellowship in ocular pathology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. During this fellowship, Dr. Raven authored numerous publications and her work has been cited in the prestigious journal of Ophthalmology.

A Badger at heart, Dr. Raven completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Wisconsin. She was elected Chief Resident in her third year of training.

Dr. Raven was selected as the cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery Fellow at the University of Wisconsin following her residency. She performs cataract surgery along with advanced technologies including multifocal intraocular lenses which can reduce dependence on glasses after cataract surgery; femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery (FLACS); LASIK and PRK laser vision surgery; corneal transplantation including both full (penetrating keratoplasty) and partial-thickness corneal transplants (DSEK and DMEK); anterior segment tumors; repair of iris and corneal trauma; and corneal crosslinking for keratoconus and related disorders. She also specializes in ocular diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye syndrome.

She believes the gift of sight is a blessing that cannot be taken for granted. In her practice she aims to take the time for each patient to counsel them on their eye health and improving their quality of life.

In Dr. Raven’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, gardening, baking, and fishing.
